Q: What if I don’t live in Pulaski County?

A: Pulaski County Imagination Library only sends books to kids who live in Pulaski County. Check Dolly Parton Imagination Library’s website: https://imaginationlibrary.com/usa/findmy-program to see if there is a program in your area!

Q: Does my child have to attend a certain school to participate in the Imagination Library?

A: No! Any child under the age of five who lives in Pulaski County is eligible.

Q:  This is our first month in the program and all of my children received the same book.  Will this happen every month?

A: Nope! Dolly has a special love for The Little Engine that Could, so every child receives that book first.  Next month, your children will begin receiving their age group book.  Also, in the month of his or her fifth birthday, every child receives Welcome to Kindergarten as their last book in the program.

Q: Why did I receive The Little Engine that Could when it isn’t in my child’s age group?

A: Little Engine is one of Dolly’s all-time favorite books.  It’s also a reminder that hard work and perseverance can pay off.  After you receive Little Engine, your child will start receiving the book associated with his or her birth year.  You can check out Upcoming Books and the DPIL Book List on our website.

Q: How do I change my address?

A: You can either log into your Parent Account or email your new address to info@pcaril.org.

Q: Why am I not receiving my books?

A: Unfortunately, PCIL has no control over the delivery of the books.  They are mailed by the national DPIL organization media rate, which means the postal service delivers them at their convenience.  If you ever don’t receive your book, the first place to check is with your local post office branch.

If you do not receive your book one month, please let us know in an email to info@pcaril.org, subject line: Missing Book.  Please include your Zip Code +4 or your address. We are trying to keep track of where books are not being delivered, so that we can reach out to those post offices on your behalf.

Q: Why does my account say “Pending”?

A: Online registrations and address changes have to be “approved” before they become active in the system.  We ensure that all pending registrations are approved before the following month’s book order is placed.
